BUDO-CENTRE KARATE CLUB

Welcome to Budo-Centre Karate Club, we have been training since 1987.  Karate is a martial art whose aim is the harmonising of mind and body for balance, strength, perseverance, patience and self-mastery.  Most of the students are experienced black belts with a good combination of seniors and teenagers.  

 

Our Karate dojo is based on 3rd Floor at Budo Centre, Funabashi, Chiba-pref. (1-3-1 Ichiba, Funabashi-city)

Our class is held on Wednesday 19:00-21:00.  Please check timetable for more detail via email.

TRAINING FOCUS

Training session consists of following

1.    Warming-up

2.    Rhythm step training

3.    Free-sparring (“Kumite”)

 

Budo-Centre Karate Club provides training opportunities for advanced students having some degree of experience of any style.  As it has a strong focus on free-sparring practice based on the traditional soft-contact rules implemented by JKF, instructions on kihon (basic techniques) or kata (forms) which are severely stipulated by the styles are not generally provided.

RHYTHM STEP TRAINING

Back ground music on this movie is called High Impact Aerobics Music, which keeps 150 beats per minute.  This rhythm highly matches Karate movements according to Chief Instructor, Fujita-Sensei.

Yuki (Ao) won the gold medal in Male kumite final at Funabashi Karate Tournament held on 11 June, 2017. 

ABOUT

Budo-Centre Karate Club is one of the five branches managed by Wado-Ryu Funabashi as a non-profit making organisation, which is a long standing Karate club training in the traditional Wado-Ryu style of Karate over 70 years.  One of the most distinctive characteristic of Budo-Centre Karate Club is that it opens to students from all four main styles including Wado-Ryu, Shotokan-Ryu, Gojyu-Ryu, Shito-Ryu in order to assist them develop free-sparring technique (“Kumite”).  Chief Instructor, Fujita Sensei has developed various distinctive training method based on the scientific approach, and the students from any style have been striving to enhance their skills in an amicable atmosphere.

Guest student from Port Vila, Vanuatu!

Mr. Silas Hawa joined our class during his visit in Japan.  He enjoyed open atmosphere attracting students from all styles.  Having overwhelmed by rhythm step training led by Fujita sensei, he will export this training method to Vanuatu national team.

Mr. Maurizio Casali jointed our lesson during his vacation in Japan.  Especially, he enjoyed rhythm step training under Fujita sensei's instruction.
